King size doonas don't fit in home washing machines — and stuffing them in half-washed never ends well. Sudzone's large-capacity Speed Queen washers handle any doona in a single load, and our big dryers have it fluffy and dry in about an hour, all self-service in the heart of Berwick Village.
King size doonas and large household items: 27KG washer — $16 per wash. Queen size doonas: 18KG washer — $12 per wash. Twin and single doonas: 14KG washer — $8 per wash. Not sure? The machine labels in-store show capacity, or ask us on 1800 SUDZONE.
1. Check your doona's care label, then load it into a large-capacity washer — no booking needed. 2. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or $1 and $2 coins at the kiosk. 3. Transfer to one of our large dryers ($1 per 4.5 minutes) and it's done in about an hour — grab a coffee in the Village while you wait.
Between $8 and $16 depending on size — $8 for a single or twin, $12 for a queen, $16 for a king. Drying is $1 per 4.5 minutes in our large dryers.
About an hour all up — roughly 30 to 40 minutes to wash and 20 to 30 minutes to dry, depending on the doona.
Check the care label first — most machine-washable doonas do well on our specialty gentle cycles. If the label says dry clean only, a laundromat wash isn't suitable.
